Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-05-10

These Terms govern your use of the DNS://Money API and the pay: namespace. By requesting an API key or submitting a registration, you accept them.

1. What the service is

DNS://Money provides payment-routing infrastructure: name resolution, deterministic rail selection, and ISO 20022 compatible message generation. DNS://Money is not a bank, money transmitter, broker-dealer, or custodian. The service does not hold, control, or take custody of your funds. Settlement always occurs on the underlying rail (e.g., the XRP Ledger), not on our platform.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the API to:

3. Sanctions compliance

The resolver screens counterparty XRPL addresses against OFAC SDN and equivalent lists. Resolutions that hit are blocked. You are responsible for your own jurisdictional compliance in addition to ours.

4. On-chain irrevocability

FAS-1 anchors and pay: registrations are written to the XRP Ledger and cannot be edited or removed. Payments dispatched to a rail are subject to that rail's finality rules — XRPL payments are typically final within seconds and are not reversible by us. Confirm destinations before submitting.

5. Founding Tier

The first 600 pay: names are sold under the Founding Tier. Each registered name mints a unique on-chain identity NFT. The 600-name cap is a hard limit; once reached, the Founding Tier closes permanently. Founding Tier registration fees are non-refundable once the on-chain anchor confirms.

6. API keys

Keys are issued at our discretion and may be revoked for violation of these Terms, suspected abuse, or operational necessity. You are responsible for keeping your key secret and for all traffic submitted under it.

7. No advice, no fiduciary relationship

Nothing on this site or in the API constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Use of the service does not create a banking, brokerage, custodial, advisory, or fiduciary relationship.

8. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, DNS://Money disclaims all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DNS://Money's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars. DNS://Money is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or third-party rail failures.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by notice through the API.
